AUP used at Glenvar is that you cant go on websites that are inappropriate, you cant download things to the laptop, you cant try and get into anybody computer, cant hack into anybody' account, and your not supposed to play games.
5 Rules:
1)Don't play movies because it takes a lot of time off the server.
2)Don't download anything onto the computer because your computer will become really slow.
3)Don't hack into any ones account because you can get into really big trouble.
4)Don't play videos because it takes up speed.
5)Don't play games because it takes up speed.
AUP policy be put in place at a jobs is use your personal phone for calls, don't write anything in emails that you don't want your boss to see, your Internet usage can be monitored so do your personal surfing at home, don't use personal email at work, ask your employer what they are monitoring but they don't have to tell you.
AUP's necessary because some people at job's just can't handle staying off website. If they have a job then their supposed to be doing that job not something else. They make money for doing the job not being on different websites all day long.

My rules at a large company where everyone had their own computer would be that people couldn't get on anything that they shouldn't be on during work. They should always be on a work website or doing something work related on the computer. If it gets to a habit to where they go to different websites then I would have to start blocking websites. They could talk on their phone as long as they keep doing work. As long as they don't talk along time one their phone. When they get a lunch break they can go on websites they want to on the computer because that is their time to do whatever they want to do.
